Job Title: Group Hire Manager
Location: Gerrards Cross
Reporting to: Group Chairman
Direct Reports: Branch Hire Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week (8.30am to 5.30pm)
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the general day-to-day operation, support and development of all Audio Visual hire services across the Edric AV branch network from the Gerrards Cross Head Office. Supported by a team of local Branch Hire Managers in; Gerrards Cross, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
Role Responsibilities
To ensure the Edric AV local and national hire strategy is implemented and evolved as required
To deal with client enquires on the telephone and face to face as necessary
To generate proactively new and repeat sales of hire services to a range of clients and prospects
To ensure Branch Hire Mangers and their teams
To assess best utilisation of equipment ensuring resources are shared across the branches to maximise revenue and support profitable delivery for the company as a whole
To assist the Groups’ Marketing Department with local and national marketing and communication activities
To order equipment/services from suppliers ensuring profitability of the service provided by Edric AV is maximised
To maintain and develop Gross Profit margins
To ensure Hire Manager/s and Administrator/s are working effectively and assist as appropriate
To assist conference department as necessary
To liaise with other group companies
To account manage customer base, including some onsite management where required
To manage specific local branch hire needs and distinct requirements
To carry out any other activity as defined by the Group Chairman as being within the scope and range of the role of the Group Hire Manager
Person Specification
4-5 years' experience in Audi Visual Hire / Operations management and professional knowledge
Highly developed finance and budgeting skills – good track record in undertaking, developing and delivering profitable projects
Broad management experience with the ability to establish and develop hire services across Edric AV branches
Computer literate with the ability to employ the full use of the electronic HireTrack system (training will be given if required)
Ability to plan and prioritise, including organisational skills and time management
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
High attention to detail
A full driving licence is required for this role and the ability to travel across all locations
An ability and willingness to undertake physical work, including heavy lifting if required
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
